AS MOUNTAINEER MONTESSORI EXPANDS TO THE ST. AGNES SCHOOL,
VIRTUAL 2020-210 ADMISSIONS SESSIONS UNDERWAY
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (August 10, 2020) — As the first day of school approaches, local families are exploring all of their options for high quality child care and education for their children in the weeks and months ahead.
Mountaineer Montessori School, 308 20th Street, is now offering virtual tours and admission sessions for prospective families. MMS is planning in-classroom, on-campus learning five days a week starting on Tuesday, Sept. 8, for students ages 3 through 14.
MMS is implementing major facilities upgrades that will double classroom sizes and reduce classroom headcounts by 50 percent to allow for physical distancing.
Starting in September 2020, MMS will grow from its current University of Charleston location to a second campus at the former St. Agnes School, 4801 Staunton Avenue, SE. to create expansive learning spaces for all students this year and accommodate continuing enrollment and program expansion in the future. Enrollment has increased by 80 percent over the past 10 years.

- Wednesday, August 12, 9 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.
- Thursday, August 13, 9 a.m.
- Friday, August 14, 9 a.m
- Wednesday, August 19, 9 a.m.,1:15 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.
- Thursday, August 20, 9 a.m.

MMS is an independent non-profit school offering an expansive, world-class academic and arts curriculum to 148 children ages 3 to 14.
