Students create PSA on healthy lifestyles

Upper Elementary II students put their nutritional science studies into action this spring with a public service announcement on healthy lifestyles. Students were initially assigned to create a PSA at home to communicate what they learned about healthy eating and the importance of staying active. After learning about the assignment, Abbey Fiorelli, a classroom parent and Creative Director at Digital Relativity, volunteered to create a professional video with the class. Abbey and Jason Adams, also from Digital Relativity, worked with the class on the content and concept, which developed into a parody music video to the tune of “Old Town Road.” The students had three songwriting sessions to create lyrics using their knowledge from the nutritional science lessons. It all came together during a fun video shoot at the Clay Center with the students and Jason. Congratulations to everyone involved in this fun and memorable project!
