Montessori Education Week Food Drive 2022 February 23-25

Service to others is an important part of the Montessori philosophy. As a school we aim to serve those in our immediate neighborhood of Charleston  as well as members of our global community.  For Montessori Education Week 2022, MMS is teaming up with Step By Step’s Kanawha Dreamers Family Resource Center to provide food for children in our area in need.

Donations will be accepted Wednesday, February 23 through Friday, February 25.

Kanawha Dreams FRC: serves over 150 children each week across their six afterschool programs, run food pantries, clothing pantries, educational classes, community events, cooking classes, and family libraries. Their goal is to ensure those they serve have the necessary life skills, information, and education for the betterment of our community.

We have divided the school along class levels to bring in certain types of food, but you are welcome to choose from any of the types of items listed (toddlers and middle school are smaller groups). We are seeking 100 percent participation from our community. Boxes will be set up on both campuses for donations to be placed in.

If you are more comfortable just making a monetary donation, please send cash or checks made out to “Step By Step WV” Memo Line “Kanawha Dreams FRC” in an envelope at drop-off.
