MMS in the news

WVU Rifle and Art 033Mountaineer Montessori School has been making headlines since it was founded in 1976.  As a pioneer and recognized leader in early childhood and elementary education, our community and the media have turned to us a trusted resource on a range of issues, including child development, positive discipline and communication, education reform, arts and culture and activities for children.  We’re honored to share our story to inspire excellence in education and opportunity for all children.  If you are a reporter, please refer to our MMS Media Resources page (coming soon).

MMS has received national and state recognition for its excellence in communication and efforts to raise awareness of the value of Montessori education.  We earned four Crystal Awards (highest honor) from the WV Public Relations Society of America and crystal winnerwere the only independent school in the nation to receive a Golden Achievement Award from the National School Public Relations Association in 2013.  NSPRA’s mission is to advance education through responsible public relations and communication that leads to success for all students.
