Mountaineer Montessori School has been making headlines since it was founded in 1976, and we are honored to share our story to inspire excellence in education and opportunity for all children.

MMS has received national and state recognition for its excellence in communication and efforts to raise awareness of the value of Montessori education.  We earned four Crystal Awards (highest honor) from the WV Public Relations Society of America in 2013 and an Honorable Mention in 2015. MMS is the only independent school in West Virginia to be recognized by the National School Public Relations Association with a Golden Achievement Award.
